Welcome to Limbricht Castle, where history comes to life through an immersive historical podcast!
Armed with headphones, you explore the castle and its unique indoor and outdoor spaces, guided by around a dozen historical characters. You not only visit the cellars and the castle's finest room, but are also immersed in the atmospheres and stories of times gone by.
The lords and ladies of the castle, as well as the parish priest of the time, will share their stories with you, but there is also room and attention for the stable lad and kitchen maid from times long gone. French soldiers and a surgeon will also make an appearance, and you will learn about the conquests, sieges and other thrilling tales from the history of Limbricht Castle.
Special attention is paid to Entgen Luijten, the last woman in the Netherlands to meet her death as a result of being accused of witchcraft and who was imprisoned in the dungeon of Limbricht Castle.
Our historical podcast takes you down to the dark cellars where she likely spent her final days.
