Overnight stay at Limbricht Castle
From what time is check-in possible?

Check-in is always possible from 15:00. If you would like to check in earlier, please contact us by email (overnachten@kasteel-limbricht.nlBased on availability and cleaning schedules, this is possible in some cases. Check-in is available until 21:30 at the latest.

Until what time is check-out possible?

Check-out is possible until 11:00 am. If you would like a later check-out, please get in touch. Depending on availability and cleaning schedules, this may be possible in some cases.

Where and from what time to what time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:00 in the Proeflokaal, where you can enjoy a tasty start to the day. The buffet also includes plenty of vegetarian options. Do you have to leave earlier? We are happy to provide a breakfast to go. Please mention this when making a reservation or send an email (overnachten@kasteel-limbricht.nl)

Can I book a table for a bite to eat?

Yes, you are very welcome in the Tasting Room for lunch, drinks and dinner. View HERE all information and book your table now.

Are pets allowed?

No, unfortunately pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms

Is cancellation possible?

Cancellations are possible free of charge up to 7 days before arrival (we will refund your payment). Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are not free of charge.

Where can I park?

You can park for free next to the castle, the car park is located by the sports pitches (100 metres' walk).

I see that you also organise events. How is this arranged for hotel guests?

That is correct, events regularly take place at our location. Naturally, we do everything we can to prevent any disturbance to hotel guests. Should an event be taking place at the time of your reservation which we expect may cause you inconvenience, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. In that case, you will always have the option to cancel free of charge or to reschedule your stay.

Where can I check in?

Check-in takes place at the Proeflokaal. You will find this directly on the right-hand side as soon as you cross the castle bridge. Here you can check in and collect your key. This applies to guests of the B&B rooms in the courtyard as well as guests of the boutique hotel on the Platz.

Where are the rooms located?

Our rooms are distributed across several buildings on and around the castle's inner courtyard:

  • The rooms with a colour name (e.g. the Green Room) are located in the castle courtyard. The Green Room is on the ground floor; the other colour names are on the first or second floor.
  • Het Gatekeeper's cottage is a detached cottage in the courtyard, spread over two floors.
  • Of Toilets English Suites are located in the adjacent boutique hotel, on the Platz, about a 120-metre walk from the inner courtyard. The Comfort rooms are on the ground floor or first floor; the Suites on the second floor.
Is there a lift?

No, there is a lift available in neither the rooms in the castle courtyard nor the boutique hotel

Am I allowed to fish in the castle moat?

Fishing in the canal is unfortunately not permitted for hotel guests. This is exclusively allowed for permit holders, and unfortunately we cannot provide these permits.

Can I charge my electric bike here?

Yes, it is possible to charge your electric bicycle within the castle gates. Please just let us know upon arrival, and we will show you the correct spot.

Can we also hire bicycles from you?

No, we don't rent out bikes ourselves

Do you also accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept credit cards. Please note: we only accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express

I want to do an activity during my stay. What are the options?

There are several fun ways to get to know Limburg better during your stay:

  • Make a car journey from the castle and discover the finest spots in the region at your own pace.
  • Or opt for a sporty one sponsored walk – a surprisingly fun way to explore the surrounding area.
  • Inside the castle walls is the audio tour Highly recommended. You walk through the castle at your own pace and learn all about its rich history.
  • In addition, we provide several lovely walking routes free of charge, allowing you to experience the countryside around the castle in peace.
Is Limbricht Castle accessible by public transport?

Yes. The closest train station is Sittard. From Sittard station you can take bus routes 16, 17 of 39 take the direction of Limbricht. Get off at the stop Bentinckstraat of Bovenstraat; from there it is still about 5 minutes' walk to Limbricht Castle.
