In the Limburg church village of Limbricht lies Limbricht Castle Estate, a seventeenth-century motte-and-bailey castle. Situated near a wooded area and surrounded by a wide moat, the castle is ideally suited for a hearty lunch or dinner. The beating heart of Limbricht Castle is the restaurant, where fresh dishes are served with a good glass of wine or a draught beer. From 10:00 our castle restaurant is open for a pleasant cup of coffee or tea, whether or not brewed from freshly picked herbs from our own garden. From 12:00, enjoy your indulgent lunch on our terrace with a magnificent view or in our atmospheric restaurant in the castle's outer bailey. From homemade soups to fresh salads, as well as fresh flans and filled slices of castle bread, all are part of the light menu. Afterwards, have a good glass of wine or a draught beer and taste the various dishes of the sharing dinner.

In our castle restaurant you can also visit for special occasions. For example, you can have a book a afternoon tea. Our high tea guarantees the perfect combination of fresh produce and delicious sweet treats. We can also provide the high tea products for vegetarians and pregnant women, but unfortunately not for allergies or other dietary requirements. The high tea can be booked on site or we can provide the products for you to take away.
Furthermore, we are organising our delicious and cosy Easter brunch at Easter, which lasts from 10:30 to 12:30. Afterwards, you also have the opportunity to take a wonderful Easter walk across our estate.

Between the Tasting House in the motte-and-bailey castle and The Sheep House lies our very own herb garden. Several varieties of herbs are grown here which are actually used in our own dishes. Every day you will see our chef tending to, clipping, smelling, and tasting the herbs. As soon as you take a seat on the terrace among the herb planters, the aromas of the herbs will come out to greet you. This way you can be certain that we only deliver fresh produce from our own garden or the local area.

Specially for Limbricht Castle Estate, Brouwerij de Fontein has its own speciality beer, Salvius beer named, brewed. A delicious amber beer, flavoured with sage. The beer is named after Saint Salvius and the nearby Salvius chapel. This local beer was officially "baptised" in the chapel on 5 May 2018 and is now exclusively available in our castle restaurant in Limburg. It is an absolute must for beer enthusiasts, and with the matching glass and gift packaging, this specialty beer also makes a fantastic present!
